You have no experience with catamarans? You want to\u00a0practice how to manoeuvre with 2 engines on 2 hulls?\u00a0You want to sail on a catamaran and\u00a0feel the difference with a\u00a0monohull sailing boat or a motor yacht?<\/p>\n

We have designed\u00a0catamaran skipper training for you.<\/p>\n

Each year, catamarans are becoming more and more popular and attract a lot of boaters. The demand on the market is growing in 2 main\u00a0channels: charter demand<\/strong> & private use. Still, a lot a sailors or boat owners have never sailed or even been on a catamaran.<\/p>\n

Our catamaran skipper training program has been created for those people who want to learn how to safely and elegantly operate these large boats.<\/p>\n

At ULTRA, we can rely on our\u00a0extensive\u00a0experience\u00a0in teaching through our Ultra sailing school. Indeed,\u00a0teaching is in our DNA since we are giving sailing courses on sailing boats of all sizes from\u00a0our early beginnings in 1995.\u00a0Over the years, we have educated more than 1.800 participants from the entire world, some of them\u00a0have since then become skippers and boat owners.\u00a0Since\u00a02019, we are the only ISPA licensed sailing school company in Europe, enabling us to issue sailing certificates\u00a0which allow holders to rent boats\u00a0worldwide.<\/p>\n

The Catamaran training purpose is not to provide a skipper license. It is advised to apply after your have obtained our ISPA Day skipper certificate, or any other valid boating licence. The aim of this additional training is to\u00a0help\u00a0all levels of skippers gain knowledge and practice on the specificities of catamaran handling and sailing.<\/p>\n

What\u00a0will you learn in this course?

\n– How to anchor
\n– How to berth
\n– How to sail and tack
\n– How to use the engines
\n– How to open and close the sails
\n– How to react in specific circumstances
\n– How to respect the sea, the other boats and nature
\n– How to communicate on a catamaran
\n–\u00a0 and a lot\u00a0more<\/p>\n

Every year, we organize a few sessions in spring, allowing you to be ready before the summer season.<\/p>\n

Fountaine Pajot catamarans are spacious and voluminous catamarans offering comfortable double cabins with bathrooms for an optimal stay onboard in combination with a good shape and well-designed interior and outside living spaces. On to of comfort, these catamarans have also amazing sailing performances.<\/p>\n
